Ages 0-5 years old
ECFE with a twist! During this class you will participate in activities that emphasize STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) in the early childhood classroom. Each week we will focus on one or more of these areas with developmentally appropriate fun activities that will support curiosity. During the parenting portion of the class parents will discuss traditional topics related to parenting and development as well as making connections to STEAM activities in the classroom.
Nikki Arness is a licensed Parent Educator with an M. Ed. in Family Education from the University of Minnesota. She fell in love with ECFE during her 7 years as a participant and feels privileged to support families as a parent educator. Nikki has taught in early childhood classrooms for the past 5 years and served on the ECFE Advisory Council. She lives in Apple Valley with her husband, 2 daughters, and 2 cats. Nikki enjoys spending time in nature, singing, going to the theater, and traveling.
Sheri earned her degree in Early Childhood Education from U.W. Stout. She has worked in early childhood for over 25 years. Her passion is with the toddler age group. She lives in Credit River Township and resides with her husband and 5 wonderful children who are all ECFE "alumni". She enjoys traveling and taking care of her cats and lizards.
